Peter Dodd began in Paris 1996, working on character design & boarding for an adult TV series. After animating in Berlin, he returned to the UK, animating on Oscar-nominated “Famous Fred” by Joanna Quinn, an adaptation of Raymond Briggs’ “The Bear” & other specials.

In 2000, he painted a large mural in a Victorian railway station featuring 36 life-size authors in a trompe l'oeil architectural setting.

In 2004, Peter completed his own short film “Prometheus Bound”, based on the play by Aeschylus.

He then moved to the Rhône-Alpes for 3 years to work on the Folimage film “Mia et le Migou”, on character models, layout & animation.

2 years in Edinburgh followed, animating Tati on the Oscar-nominated Sylvain Chomet film “The Illusionist”.

He has spoken as a guest or part-time lecturer at universities or events, in the UK, France, Annecy Festival, TEDx or CTN Expo.

Moving to London in 2007, Peter began working in many different studios on commercials, games intros, comic trailers, couch gags, films, or shorts, including the long-running series of TSB ads at Studio Aka.

Peter has worked on various productions at Lupus Films: “The Snowman and the Snowdog”, “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt”, and as animation director for the Raymond Briggs based feature film 'Ethel and Ernest'.

In 2019, he will be animation director for their upcoming feature “Kensuke’s Kingdom” and director for the feature “Kiki”
